This is Zach McLaughlin, the Superintendent of Schools. I am calling this afternoon to update you on our food service that will be available during the February break. These are available to all school district students and not just students who are eligible for free and reduced meals. Each meal packet will include a lunch, afternoon snack, and breakfast for the following day.
We need you to sign up by Wednesday, February 10th to ensure we prepare enough meal packets. We have activated our school meal hotline for families to notify the district of the number of children in your house needing meals the week of February 15th. The number for the hotline is 802-885-5133. Again, the number is 802-885-5133. This line is available 24/7, so please leave a message.
Families who have students attending school in the hybrid A & B group will pick up the meals on Monday, February 15th between 11:00 am – 12:00 noon at Springfield High School. Families who have children who are completely remote learners will pick up their meals on Wednesday, February 17th between 11:00 am – 12:00noon at Springfield High School. This meal pickup is only for the February break week. We will resume regular meal patterns when returning from break on Monday, February 22nd.
Thank you, and I hope you have a great evening.
